Hooded Rain slicker

Can you purchase one in Alaska, and would this be a good idea? I thought of it too late. We leave on the 20th so it is too late to get one on line. We live in AZ and warm clothes and raincoats are not an item you see in the stores. Any opinions are appreciated!

I don't know what your first port is, but in Ketchikan, just south (right turn off the ship) on the end of the pier is an Outlet store. Tons of jackets. Water repellant/rainproof is always a good idea. And shoes, as well,

My favorite purchase was in Juneau several years ago. It is a yellow poncho that says on the front: "Juneau Rain Festival January 1-December 31"!

You can find hooded rain jackets at every port, in all of the "general merchandise" stores. Usually they are right outside or right inside the door and very inexpensive. Have a wonderful Alaskan trip. It is the best thing we have ever done - twice !! gg

We live in FL and are also leaving May 20 (Sun). I bought rain ponchos at Walmart (by the umbrellas) for $3.96.

I've also seen the poncho at Walmart in the camping department or at the 99 cent stores too.
