New York-Long stop over

Going on Carnival Dream in June. Can't wait! We have a 7.5 hour stop over at Newark. Any ideas about what we could do? Would that be enough time to leave the airport? Does anyone know if there are any tours from the airport? Thanks.

Is it enough time to leave the airport -- sure. The big question is, for what purpose.

You could easily have enough time to go into Manhattan, but is it worth the cost and effort? Only you can answer that.

As for tours, none that I am aware of. And as for the immediate area around the airport, remember....it's NEWARK!!

One thing you might want to do is look into getting a hotel room near the airport, so you can shower/change and get some rest if you want. Or just take their shuttle over to the hotel, have lunch and sit around the lobby. You might want to pick a hotel with free wifi for your laptop. Otherwise, what do you want to do with 7+ hours? You could buy passes for the United Club at EWR; $50 a head but you get some snacks and beverages. Or you could just finish up War and Peace.
