Anchor at Peggy's Cove

We were on a cruise last month and went to Peggy's Cove on a tour. We saw an old anchor there and took pictures of it with the light house in the background. We now wonder if there is some sort of story about the anchor and why it it there. I have done searchs both on the internet and on these boards and can find pictures of the anchor but no story about the anchor. I am hoping that there is someone out there that might be able to help.
