How Do You Do The Doc Dance?

Recommended Posts

I read a lot about this Doc Dance. My Docs should be arriving soon and I want to get it right.

Can anyone write me a mental picture of this very symbolic dance? Pictures would be even more helpful.

Please help. I am afflicted with two right feet and a left handed coffee mug.

And don't forget...there's that never ending smile that spreads from ear to ear as you hold those documents in the air waving your arms about...your heart also beats a bit faster and you might be able to feel the sway of the ship if you close your eyes!

Since I like to pick my docs up at my brick-and-mortar TA, I do my doc dance while driving back home. I place my pleather doc wallet on the seat beside me, and buckle it in so it doesn't slide around. I reach over and pat it from time to time so it will know how loved it is.

I gingerly weave in and out of traffic (don't get excited, Copper 10-8!!) while smiling from ear to ear. At that time, the doc dance is remarkable because the Las Vegas traffic doesn't torque my wrench! ;) If someone cuts me off, I just grin and continue whistling along with the radio or CD.

When I arrive home, I lovingly massage the pleather wallet with a little Armor-All to protect it from what will soon be repeated opening and closing to peruse its contents.

Ahhhh. Love the doc dance!

Well, there are actually many different Doc Dances. Some depend on what the itinerary is you are doing, other types depend on what part of the world you live in.

One type is enub_animated_dancing_lady_61x130.gif

And yet another is the traditional HAL Doc Dance

but this is not really used much any more. Times have changed granny.gif

Another variation is

dancing_giraffees.gif

Yet many going to Hawaii prefer this one.

So as you can see there are just so many DAM way to enjoy those pleather envelopes:D

Here are the words to the dance that I gave to Grampy last week. He's still cutting (?) a rug.

DOC DANCE. last chance for love

Yes, it's your DOC DANCE, for a tap dance tonight

HAL needs you, by her

To hail her, to sail her

To hold her, to scold her

Cause when you're glad

You're so so glad

So let's dance, the DOC DANCE

Let's dance, the DOC DANCE

Let's dance, the DOC DANCE tonight.

I do a doc dance in 3/4 time, while wearing a ball gown.

Tres elegant. :D

HAL crossings, always so worthwhile

I'm sailing you in style, some day

Oh dream maker, you heart breaker

Where ever you're going, I'm going your way

HAL cruising, off to see the world

There's such a lot of world to see

We're after the same chocolate, you and me

Waiting round the bend, my Upgrade Fairy friend

HAL cruises and me.
