Hello Everyone,

My sister and I are taking our first cruise on Carnival Victory to the Bahamas with our kids a six year old and a three year old. Does anyone have any suggestions on things we can do with them? I am very nervous to take a cruise plus the additional stress of taking our kids. Also if you have any suggestion on things we need to pack I would greatly appreciate it.

Being on a cruise ship is no different than being in a "resort" hotel. Both kids are old enough to make use of the kid's clubs....most kids LOVE it! The activities are VERY age appropriate...and the majority of parents have a hard time getting the kids to LEAVE the clubs!

If the 3 year old is potty-trained, you can take them to the pool...the clubs do NOT take the kids swimming, so that's up to you. If the child isn't out of diapers, they won't be allowed in ANY ship pool.

As far as ports, get a guidebook from your library, and read up on what fun stuff there is in each place you'll visit! Rarely are "excursions" needed to have fun! The more you know, the better!

Freeport - just make it a beach day. You. An take a cab from the terminal. There is nothing to do right at the port as it is industrial. In Nassau, take a cab tl Adastra gardens or book a ship execution to a beach. The kids will love the cruise. No reason to be nervous at all...

Thank you very much. I am looking into the British Colonial Hilton for their day pass.
