Valparaiso luggage drop off

Hi,

We are embarking from the Valparaiso port this week on an NCL cruise. Has anyone tried to drop off luggage early and before checking in? To explore in the morning before checking into the cruise, we would either need to drop our luggage at port or ask the hotel to hold it for us. Dropping it at the port is easier with less traveling back and forth. However, with the cruise line working to get the disembarking passagers' luggage off, I did not know how well they could handle incoming luggage also.

Forgive my hurried answer earlier. The Valparaiso terminal is not convenient, although your ship may be near Sotomayor Square, access to the port is at the far north end of the terminal area. There is the passenger terminal, and shuttle buses both to and from the terminal building. You will be better served by leaving your luggage at the hotel until you are ready to board.
