Costa Concordia Bookings after the accident

We were booked for our first ever cruise on the Concordia for March 23, 2012 and are being asked to choose a compensation offer by February 7, 2012 which we don't think is adequate. Want to connect with others in the same situation. They are not offering to cover our full flight exchange costs and charging us an additional $150 dollars to rebook a cruise before the end of March.

Kapnana, We were booked on our first Costa cruise for the Concordia leaving out of Rome on Feb 24. They offered us the same compensation that they offered you (free to change to another 7 day cruise, $150 for an 11 day). However, the only options that were feasible for us were the 11-day Serena cruises leaving out of Rome. We were able to pay an additional $200 per person (instead of $150) and upgrade to a balcony room (we had booked the oceanview). We are now set to take the 11-day cruise to Spain/Morocco/Canary Islands leaving on 23 Feb (leaving one day before we would have left, returning a few days after we would have returned).

Costa did not offer to help pay for our airfare change, but Delta Airlines made the changes for free.

Not exactly what we had planned on, but we just feel blessed that we were not on board on Jan 13, and feel terrible for all of those who were. Hope you are able to find a solution that works for you.
