Hi everyone,

We will arrive to Barcelona from MSC cruise in the end of March and as a usual cruise program, we have only 7 hours to see incredible beauties of Barcelona.

We had deiced to have self guided tour (including Camp Nou), but it seems boring for us by having 2 children.

Now we are unsure to take Hop-on Hop-off bus while lots of reviewers said it is crowded in cruise terminal station.

Could you please advise me on a budget excursion with less time wasting.

Ho-hos in Barcelona are incredibly busy. And yes, there are often long lines at some stops, eg Sagrada Familia and Placa de Catalunya, and it might be one or two buses before you get to the front of the line. But we've found them very very frequent and very very efficient and those lines move quickly. When passengers have disembarked, those on the lower floor have the opportunity to move up to the vacated seats on the open upper deck before the door is opened for folk boarding. So if it's busy you may have a short wait, then travel one stop mebbe two before you're comfortably seated upstairs.

Makes using the ho-ho simply to get from A to B a pretty poor option, but good for a round-trip overview of the city.

BTW, MSC's passenger mix in the Med is very multi-national, but predominantly European & especially Italians. Quite frequently their ships' English-language excursions are under-subscribed, so are combined with other languages resulting in a less-than-ideal multi-language excursion. Best avoided if possible.

Just MHO as always

JB :)
