oasis of the Seas vs Norwegian Sky *pic*

Nice picture! I assume this is Nassau? I was on the Sky when the Oasis docked next to us. Here is something fun to consider. The Sky was released in 1999 and for a very brief time after her debut, she was the largest cruise ship in the world (sort of hard to believe now). The Oasis debuted in 2009 (10 years later).

What a difference a decade makes with cruise ships. Can you imagine the next 10 years???

:)

And guaranteed there were people whining in 1999 that they didn't want to sail those newfangled Mega-Ships like the Sky. :D

I don't think that's the case as Carnival Destiny and Grand Princess both larger than the Sky were already in service prior to 1999.

10 years from now we may board on a forward gangway and make it to the aft gangway 7 days later. Ship won't have to go anywhere.

Aww what a great pic!! We too were docked next to two MUCH larger ships in Nassau when we were on the Sky! She was our first cruise and I admit, I thought she was huge until we docked next to the other two ships!! :o

Same here. The Sky looked HUGE to us until we got to Nassau. We were amazed at the bigger ships.
