Looking into renting a car to drive from Ohio to NY. Anyone know where the car rental drop offs are. Want to find closest to the pier. Thanks for help

IMHO, you will be far better off dropping the car at LaGuardia and taking a taxi to the port. There are a few rental drop places in Manhattan, but the drop charges are very high. Alamo, Budget and National all have agencies in mid town Manhattan. Please check out the difference in drop charges at LaGuardia and Manhattan. I have dropped in Manhattan a couple of times and found the fees ASTRONOMICAL.

Avis at West 43rd Street between 10th & 11th Avenues; very close to the pier.

Hertz has one on west 55th street just a few blocks from the Manhattan cruise terminal
