Pre-cruise hotel in Seattle

We stayed at the Mediterranean Inn. It's not right downtown and not quite as expensive, although like all Seattle hotels, still pretty pricey. We took a shuttle from the airport to the hotel and a shuttle the hotel arraigned the next morning to the pier. You can walk to the Space Needle and monorail downtown from there.

Downtown is much better than the airport. Being able to walk outside and take in the downtown options is priceless.

If you can get a hotel with access to light rail.. not too bad. FYI - it is a pretty good hike from the terminal to the train/rail at the airport.

We stayed at the SeaTac Fairfield Inn since we are Marriott people. We wanted to be near the airport so that was the cheapest choice for Marriott. Plus all of them downtown seemed pretty expensive. You can take the light rail from the Fairfield for I think $2.50 one way/person but we chose to hire a town car thru the hotel (I think it was $30 each way if you reserve ahead of time). That was way easier than the light rail. Otherwise we would've been lugging our suitcases.

We stayed at Crowne Plaza in downtown Seattle. It is a short walk (down hill) to the Pike Market Place. We got up the next morning and you could see the NCL Jewel from our hotel room. Breakfast was included with the room. The hotel had a free shuttle to the ship. Really enjoyed our short stay there.

Last year we stayed at the Warwick hotel. It was a great location. Close to everything -Pike Market, space needle, ship. Would recommend checking this hotel out. Alaska is amazing mother nature at her finest!

We (and extended family) also stayed at the Warwick - for three nights pre cruise. We had never stayed here before - yet having mentioned to them in correspondence we were travelling for our 20th wedding anniversary - there was a bottle of bubbly and hand made choccies in our room on arrival along with a lovely card. They made us feel so special - exceptional service considering we were first time guests!

Can also recommend their restaurant - Food was very good - and super friendly service.

Managed to get a good deal here via the booking website -

I think quite a few CCers have frequented The Warwick :)
