B2B newbie

For the B2B experts out there.

So we have a cruise currently booked and want to book another for our 1st B2B.

Our currently booked cabin isn't available on the new sailing we want to add.

My question is if you have different cabins for each sailing, when do you move your belongings? Or when you step off the ship and back on, are you expected your belongings with you (when changing cabins)

Ideally we want to have the same cabin for both legs.

Thanks in Advance.

Having the same cabin is best. You don't have to pack up at the end of leg 1. However, if you can't get the same cabin, your cabin stewards can help you move your stuff to the second cabin.

You will be escorted off the ship to go through customs, get your new SS card and have the ship to yourself for a little while.

I went from a verandah deck inside cabin to an empress deck balcony on my B2B in October. After clearing customs, I simply went back to my original cabin, got my carry on (free platinum laundry saves on packing!) , and rolled it over to the balcony. My cabin steward said he would move it, but I t wasn't that far for me to go in the same quadrant of the ship. I was unpacked in the new cabin by 11AM or so.

I realize most people would travel with more luggage than I had, so talk to your steward about getting it moved. On my next 21 day B2B I do have the same cabin, so I avoid this issue entirely, like you want to do.

The best, of course, is to have the same cabin because then you don't have to do anything with your belongings. If you have to move, then you should be able to get a luggage trolley and put your stuff on it to move. You can keep your hanging clothes on the hangers. One time we had to move cabins but luckily it was just to a cabin next door. We got a large room service tray and put the small items from the drawers on it and moved it that way. We did not pack the suitcases.

The room stewards are supposed to help you move but I've read that doesn't always happen.

You move in the morning after the people in your new cabin have moved out. You don't take anything with you when getting off the ship except your new boarding pass and passport.

We tell our room steward that we are doing a B2B and also find our new room steward and tell him. They usually will clean your new cabin first so you can move in right away.

Try to get the same cabin for both legs and have a great time.

I hope OP doesn't mind me jumping in on this....

At what point do you get off the ship and back on. I'm trying to find out time wise. Is it after all the passengers are off? I do recall there was an announcement on my last cruise but I think that's because there were a large number of people who did the Splendor repo to Miami from NYC via SJ.

We have the same cabin but I want to sleep late :p

Also October 31st(Embarkation day of 2nd leg) is my daughters birthday so I want get the room kit so I want to plan to be away also. Thanks
