How come nobody's mentioned the new casino app? I've been playing slots all morning at home

Got an email from Carnival this morning that says it's working on the Freedom...

Where is the app available?

It was working on the Freedom in December - all I need, another way to lose money. Wait, my phone (consumer cellular) can't get the app, and I don't bring a tablet or a 'puter, so I'm safe.

My virtual reality slot machine will have to be in the casino.

You're welcome. Hope it works on my next cruise. They give you$10 for your first use. Just look under the "More" section of the home page. Of course you have to be on the ship to get that.

I found it under "carnival cruise casino" in the Play Store.

It says it works with the ship's wifi, I guess that means to play the app onboard, you need to buy a wifi package, huh? So except for the free $10 they give you, its not any better than just going to the casino and playing slots. The only advantage I can see is avoiding the smoky casino.

No, it says right in the instructions that you do not need to purchase a wi-if plan. You actually put your phone in airplane mode.

With the exception of a few Bally slots not fully loading each log-in, the casino app worked quite well during the time I was beta-testing it on Carnival Breeze last October.

Once they get the screen "real estate" worked out, it should be really nice and easy.
