Marriott Renaissance Curacao

Hello - DH and I will be in port on May 27th from 1pm-11pm on the Carnival Conquest and I am putting some of his Marriott reward points to good use by booking us a "night" at the hotel so we can use the facilities and have a place to hang our hat for the day while in port.

It will be nice to have a room to go back to and a place to keep our stuff while in port for the day. My question is how far is the hotel from the port? can we walk? any thoughts are helpful on what to do around the hotel after the sun oes down and we come in off the beach.

Isa- Do you know if you can walk to the Marriott and use their beach ? Someone mentioned in another thread that is what they were going to do, but they made no mention of a day pass. TIA

I visited the property on my Liberty of the Seas repositioning cruise and was very pleased with the pool area.

They only have a 'space available' day pass of $36, which I found quite a good deal. They would not book it in advance. Day rooms cost the same price as overnight stays at this property.

The infinity fresh and sea water pools and elevated sand 'beach' was fantastic.

Beach massage station was busy the entire 3 hours I was there and the facilities were clean and modern. I had an amazing view of the ship the entire time.

I also went to the Casino for an hour prior to departure and would have liked to have had a little more time at this port.

I had been in Curacao for 2 weeks several years ago when they started building this property and this has really been a game changer as I was happy to leave back then.

A very nice property.
