Help, in Tortola with family on MSC, 6 adults and 4 children under 7 (7 , 5, 3, 9mos.) Closet beach to port? Trying to move 10 any great distance may be cost prohibitive. Adults have all sailed numerous times prior. Tortola once,:) just walked around, children looking for a beach, Suggestions? Thanks

Time in port?

All beach choices are along the west and north shore, some are more secluded while a couple others are more touristy. Since you'll probably need amenities (restrooms, food and drink, and chairs) I think you'll want to head to Cane Garden Bay. 20 - 25 minute safari taxi will be $12 - 16pp roundtrip for adults, half-fare for 7 & 5 yr olds, and free for 3 yr old and baby.

You'll find that many of your fellow cruisemates will be there as it's a relatively inexpensive and easy excursion. I don't see any excursions offered through MSC, but double check to make sure it's not cheaper that way.

Just an FYI, the beach MSC shows on their Road Town site is Smuggler's Cove, a gorgeous bay but more secluded and a more expensive taxi. Also just portapotties at SC, no restrooms.
