3 in a cabin..who offers the best deals

I am taking my mother on 2 back to back cruises out of Europe. Now my son wants to come along so I want to find a cruise company that offers deep discounts on the third person in the cabin. Any ideas?

I know HAL is offering Free 3rd and 4th PAX on some sailings as part of their "Vacation Stimulus" discount plan. If you check out their website they have a link to a rundown of the applicable destinations and ships / sailing dates.

I would immagine other lines are doing similar promotions. I would advise you to contact a Travel Agent and see what other deals are about. You might find that the "free" 3rd guest actually costs more in total than paying for 3 on a different cruise with a better discount for the 1st two PAX.

I'm not sure if you are asking which cruiselines have the best deals or which TA has the best deal, but FYI, we are not allowed to name any TA according to board rules.

Our adult son likes to cruise with us and we have found that NCL offers very good rates for the 3rd person.

They have 3rd & 4th pax generally around $99/pp plus port taxes/fees. I know the NCL Gem sails in Europe most of the year.

On many lines the 3rd person rate varies from ship to ship, sailing to sailing ... in the end, you usually just have to pick out the sailings you are interested in and price them out.

I consider HAL best for a couple reasons:

- 3rd person prices cheap (as noted above, some free deals - I'm paying $199 on a November 10 day Panama Canal cruise) ; and

- better bed for third person - not an upper berth, but a comfortable sofa conversion (seat and back of sofa fold flat, better than most hotel beds)
