Default Astor Crown Plaza

I booked my Father and I at the Astor Crown Plaza using Hotwire for $200 including all taxes from April 4th-April 6th before the Navigator Trans Atlantic Sailing.

When I went on Hotwire I wanted a 4 star hotel and this is a true 4 Diamond AAA Hotel unlike other hotels where Hotwire says its 4 when its really a 3 Diamond Hotel.

I was wondering if you ever stayed at this hotel? How did you like it?

I chose the French Quarter because of the central location and this hotel could not have been in a more centrally located location.

I was wondering is it doable to walk to the Royal Caribbean Julia Street Pier from here? If so what is the best route. We plan on checking out at 11 and be in the checkin line by 11:30ish.

Is it better to pay $7 for a cab? From the airport we plan to take the cab for $33.
