Fabric and scrapbook stores on St Maarten?

One of the finest fabric stores we have ever seen is on the western edge of Marigot in the Bellevue District. It's called Danielle B Fusion. A second shop close by is Tissus & Harmony. Both have drop-dead beautiful high-end French fabrics. Every year, these are shops that we never miss. We have also visited three other shops in Marigot that have caribbean type yardage. One is just a short walk from the Marigot open-air market.

It all depends on what one considers "good". In short, for the shops in Bellevue, the prices are high but the quality is superb. They only sell French goods so when you consider you just can't get anything like it in the US, it's cheaper than taking a trip to Paris.

For the shops that sell Caribbean type yardage and notions, the prices are very inexpensive. Again, you can't get that type of goods at home either.

I don't remember seeing those types of shops in San Juan. In any case, PR is totally different from the Caribbean Islands. It's much more like the US than the tropics.
