Which side of ship is best

Don't bother with this unless you have a strong opinion. I just found my answer in another post.

If you have a balcony, which side of the ship is best to be on for a full transit cruise through the canal?

1952 - Excalibur (freighter)
1972 - Song of Norway, Caribbean
1980 - Hawaii American Curise line, Tahiti
09/01/2002 - Veendam, Alaska
05/29/2003 - Pacific Princess, Alaska
11/26/2003 - Star Princess, Australia/New Zealand

5/28/2004 - Star Princess, Venice to Barcelona

It really doesn't matter.. to get a full appreciation of the locks etc. you will need to be on the open decks for part of the day anyway.. esp. if you are heading west (i.e. towards Pacific from Caribbean) after the last set of locks.. the view of Bridge of Americas at close to sunset was awesome...
