Barry H Posted August 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2007 Penders: There are a number of us on the cruise booked to travel with Mandoo for a half day spice plantation tour. I think that the cost is about $45 each. You would have to check the posts on our roll call. I think that it would be in the #300 to #400 post range. Each of us booked Mandoo separately through his web site (google Mandoo Grenada) and mentioned that we were part of the existing group. He comes highly recommended on these threads. If you prefer to travel privately, there will be lots of taxis available but I cannot vouch for the quality of the tour. I have copied the information from Mandoo in Emerald thread #335. The following is the itinerary for our Mandoo tour: The spice plantation is going to give you great a feel of the island. Douglaston spice depot, there will be a presentation on all the spices, you can purchase fresh quality spices there. Drive through the lush volcanic mountains to see the spices, cocoa and bananas plantations. Great photo shots. Grand etang crater lake. Rain forest. Small walk on the nature trail if so desire. May see the Mona monkeys. Annandale waterfall. Then to the beach for a swim before returning to the ship in time for sailing. The cost is $45:00 per person inclusive of various entrance fees.
