Any know if the Jade is at Drydock today? She was scheduled to begin the refurb on 3/10/17 but I haven't heard anything. I have the DOS scheduled for the 4/9/17 cruise and hope it comes out of drydock on schedule.

Norwegian Jade is currently in Tampa: http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/shipid:368774/imo:9304057/mmsi:308416000/vessel:NORWEGIAN%20JADE

And the current bridge camera view shows her docked in a river that is most definitely not Freeport or some other Dry Dock: http://www.kroooz-cams.com/ncl_hawaii/jade.php

Yes, just disembarked the last passengers, I believe, and most likely loading materials and dumpsters for Freeport. Very likely looking at late night evening departure, a 26-29 hour run for a late night arrival in Freeport, stability and trim checks, and then an early morning move to the dock, the wee morning hours of the 12th.

We left the Jade this morning---Walking out of the Port, there was a large crowd of people in line to board the Jade--obviously the "worker bees" waiting to get on. And confirmed multiple times while on board, it will be a THREE week dry dock, so they will be HUMPING that ship to get er done....

I sailed on the Jade last November and really liked it. Overall I thought the ship was in good shape, a dry dock will be great. Can't wait to see the changes, just wish they were still sailing out of Houston.

Hi nadirsup,

Did you save any of your Daily Programs? If so, could you upload 1 or 2 of them? Just the 3rd pages, the section that lists the evening entertainers.

lol the only time I visited the atrium bar--Aloha?--was because they were the first bar to open early-- before the casino bar--bloody mary anyone? Tehee....We did catch TWO shows--a record for us. The comedian and the juggling dood--both were good, but not as much fun as helping raise NCL's stock prices by donating to the one arm bandits!! :o

Oh yeah, forgot to mention--my daughter Casey works for NCL--she just got off the Sun from a six month contract (photographer)--(see my post on the SUN page)-- and she Face Booked up with our steward who sent her pics this morning of the Jade in port with a HUGE dumpster overboard filling up with all sorts of debris and the decks getting stripped--pretty cool...(I also saw a link in here someone posted on the U Tubes--time lapse of dry dock renovation on a ship...)

I've been watching her position on sea scanner all day. She is definitely working her way to Freeport. We are booked in July so will be anxious to see post refurbished pictures. We were on the Gem last fall and sounds like decor will be the same. Love these ships. Size is perfect. Love NCL's promenade decks. We have done mostly Princess but we have decided we prefer NCL.

She will likely get the same makeover as the Pearl. The staterooms were renovated and the pool deck along with some redecorating in a couple of the specialty restaurants. I liked the updates but still felt the ship needed more work. Lots of things in the thermal suite/spa were not working very well although they did a makeover on the saunas.

Wow--what a really neat job! She must love it :)

Hopefully your steward can send more pics as it goes along, and you can post them here.

They started stripping things down the interior of the Jade on their way to Freeport, which is the current location of the Jade. DD will continue until April 4th.

Hopefully it will be enough time to get everything done. The major work on the Jade outside of the regular updating of furniture, mattresses, etc. will be the removal of the Hawaiian theme in the public areas.

Marine Traffic shows the Jade in "DD".
