Any good crazy complaints you have heard?"

On the Jubilee the salt was so thick day looked like night. I didn't ask for money but reading that post made me sympathize with the person. See the difference?

This is not relevant to the OP's request. Quit getting off topic.

We went to leave our stateroom one night and a man was outside the cabin next door screaming at the room steward. He was so mad he was shaking. I heard him say that not having the balcony divider open was ruining his cruise. I assumed he had family on the other side of him. Later that day when we were back in the stateroom, the steward knocked on our door and asked if we wanted the divder open between our balcony and the man next door. We explained we did not know the man. The steward said he was aware of that but that the man would not stop complaining so he thought he would ask. The man was traveling with just his wife, in the same stateroom.

You just can't fix stupid.

On one of our cruises we came back to our balcony cabin and noticed that there was a maintenance man on our balcony. We went out there and he told us that our neighbors were complaining that the divider was rattling and they couldn't stand the noise. He worked on that thing for over an hour trying to make it not rattle. This was on a sea day and anybody that has ever stayed in a balcony cabin know how windy it is on sea days and naturally, the divider will rattle a little. He finally gave up and shoved some paper in the latch.

The following day we were leaving the cabin to go to dinner. Went out into the passageway and there were two maintenance men moving a new mattress into their cabin.

I looked at them with a questioning look and they both smiled and shrugged their shoulders. I felt sorry for Guest Services with that couple.

Some people just don't stop and think about the consequences of complaining for complaining's sake.

On one cruise I saw a man going completely ape calling the purser's desk staff every name in the book because one piece of his luggage was not yet delivered.

At only around 6:30.

When the cruise was beginning with an overnight at the embarkation port.

And due to major weather issues plenty of people were still arriving at that hour due to flight delays. So there certainly was lots of luggage still on the pier waiting to be delivered.

But don't try to fool this guy with logic. His voiced boomed throughout the atrium with language that would make a sailor blush. Finally a senior officer came out and asked him to step into his office. Which this guy refused to do.

I wish I would have stuck around to see if security was summoned. Because if they were this clown would almost certainly not have been escorted into a back office, but down the gangway and out. Getting chucked off for violating the passage contract or other ship's rules before initial sailaway happens a lot more than one hears about. If you can't be on your best behavior on day 1, they don't wanna know about day 2. And this was a 16 night cruise, and I don't remember seeing him later on.

On a Southeast Asia cruise round-trip from Singapore, the man next to me was complaining about having to turn in his passport to the crew for the duration of the voyage, because you should never give your passport to anyone. And that he was sure his identity was going to be stolen by one of the crew by turning over his passport.

I left before it was resolved but i suspect he either turned it in or was disembarked because there were multiple calls for people who hadn't turned in their passports before we left the cruise center, so it seemed that we weren't leaving until all the passports were accounted for.

then you dont have anything relevant to post to this thread, so why post anything at all?

If you stop to think about it, a person stating that he does not eavesdrop is, at least, tangential to this thread. On the other hand, it is hard to understand why someone who feels that adhering strictly to "relevance" to overhearing conversations is important would pursue a non-relevant theme.

I know someone who after going on only 1 cruise complained that she did not like cruising as there were too many activities on board and she did not find it relaxing.

I think that some people have unrealistic expectations regarding a cruise vacation and therefore will always find something to complain about.

I really want to know what is going through the poor guest services persons mind in moments like this.. im guessing thoughts of a big gun and loads of blood

One woman wanted a refund for the difference between an oceanview and an inside cabin because she had salt on her window and it was obstructing the view.

If you have ever been on a behind the scenes tour you would know that the hot water is generated from the heat of the engines ( which are always hot and running) if they ACTUALLY ever run out of hot water then that would be the least of the ships issues. it's not like at his home where there is a small hot watetankks feeding a cabin

On Norwegian Gem in February 2016 I was at guest services behind a man who was complaining about the lack of sufficient hot water in his shower that morning - insisting that he be given a credit of one day's cruise fare - -- because that is he gets a refund on his hotel/motel bill whenever there is no hot water in his room. I got the distinct impression that it happened to him quite a lot.

I doubt that their complaints are limited to just cruises

We once had a $500 gift card we applied to our S&S account at the port check in. About 1/2 way through our cruise, we looked on our statement and the gift card wasn't applied! Turns out, they applied it to the wrong room. It took a lot of time and they even had to look at video of us at check in to verify we did in fact have a gift card. But, all was well. A couple of days later, I lost my S&S card. I waited in GS behind a couple who were complaining that the $500 OBC they had mysteriously in their account had disappeared! They couldn't explain why they had the OBC to begin with, but sure we're mad that it was no longer there.

Exaggerating a bit aren't you, or are you just making up garbage? There is no way any window on any cruise ship was like that, and to say so makes me think you have never been in an ocean view.
