If you had the choice, Majesty or the Sovereign?

I have all ready booked the Sovereign, but I have found a good deal on the Majesty. We have previously sailed the Sovereign and love the ship. The real big draw for me would be less time in Nassau and making a stop in Key West. I would love to hear your opinion if you've been on both ships! Such a difficult decission! Life is good. Doesn't help that hubby says what ever you want as long as I'm on the ship he doesn't care which one or where it goes. Love that man.

We normally go Sovereigns because it saves us 3 hrs driving time. It depends if you want a day at sea or Key West. Sounds like a coin flip.

Majesty is our vote.
Have been on her 4 times but aren't they basically the same ship? I think the Majesty might be a little newer. Crew on her are like family , have yummy food, and great service!

I have not been on the SOS but I have been on the Majesty twice and I do not see how you could go wrong with this ship. I had a great time on both cruises. The ship was in great shape as all of her public rooms had just been totally refurbished on my last trip in Spetember of 2002. I found the food and service to be very good. I would take this ship again in a heartbeat plus sailing out of Miami is so much nicer than Pt. Canaveral.

I don't think there's a noticable difference in time spent in Nassau. IIRC, Majesty leaves at midnight, Sovereign either 1AM or 3AM.

It really comes down to two things, do you want an 'at sea' day or a day in Key West and whether you book suites and if so, do you want a balcony (Majesty has them, Sovereign doesn't).

Thanks for all your input. The easy way to make this decision would be to book both [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]. Don't even think I could get my husband to agree to that one.

We liked both ships. I think we prefer the crew on the Sovereign vs. the Majesty.

There really isn't much difference in the two ships.

I would not hesitiate to sail either one again, both were great for the price we paid. ($169-$349).

If I HAD to pick....I would say the Sovereign.
