A basic perhaps silly question

We are taking out first river cruise with tauck in June. We will get to the boat ourselves so we will have our luggage

The luggage tags they sent have no cabin numbers.

They seem to be designed for passengers at their pre cruise hotel

What happens when we arrive at the boat? Are there handlers who take the luggage and deliver to the cabin?

They met us as we stepped out of the taxi, grabbed our luggage, and immediately took it to our room. The captain and cruise director greeted us at the gangplank, led us aboard and we were handed our choice of several drinks - only then the check-in process began!

No worries - enjoy!

Most of our river cruise boardings look like this: as we are pulling up in a taxi, someone is heading our way with a clip board and asks our names, which we tell them, and are then given a warm welcome. At the same time a guy is helping the taxi driver take our luggage out of the trunk. Person with the clipboard tells the luggage guy we are staying in room 210 (or whatever). Off our luggage goes and we walk on board, are given a brief overview and shown to our cabin. There sits our luggage. River cruise boarding is amazingly brief and efficient.
