Photo Tour of the Navigator

We are sailing to Alaska on the Navigator next Spring, and we had the opportunity to spend the day onboard to get a feel for the ship...and to see our cabin. I like to understand the ships we sail on, so this was a perfect chance to look around, talk to the staff and see all she has to offer.

Let me share the tour with you in pictures... with a few observations from one who is new to the smaller ships. Certainly not a review... just a chance to show the cabins and the various venues.

Best way is to walk with me from Deck 5, on up.

Deck 5 has Compass Rose, the Main Dining room, and a set of Oceanview cabins.

Compass Rose was a beautiful and spacious dining area, artfully designed.

The really neat part of trying to show you all the various cabins... whether Window, Veranda, Concierge or Penthouse... is that they are all the same layout and size.

While the Window cabin has a nice picture window, the rest have a small (~50 sq ft) Veranda... but the interior is replicated throughout all those categories.

Let's take a look...

Up the stairs to Deck 6 and the Public Areas. This is the gangway entrance deck.

I will say that entering the ship for the first time in this area was a bit deceiving. The center of this deck is pinched in by the lifeboats...and gave this location a very small yacht feel. That went away once we saw the rest of the ship...but first impression was "..oh. my...small."

Usually Reception and Shore Excursion desks can be quite busy... I wonder if this is the eye of the needle when a cruise is underway? I felt I could touch both sides by standing in the middle.

The GM's office... "...the door is always open."

A little further in... is the Concierge Desk

A little further down is the Connoisseur's Club... the smoking lounge.

Not totally airtight... we could sense we were getting near it. That's not going to bother us... it was a nice lounge.

Across from the Club is a Multipurpose Room, for Cards, Games and Meetings

These four venues were in a darker part of the ship. I would think that between Reception, Shore Desk and these lounges...that this would be quite a busy place.

Finally, you reach the Theater in the Aft area of deck 6. Actually, a multi-tiered theater that occupies the aft of both Deck 6 and Deck 7

This place looked outstanding, what a showcase...with comfortable seating and great sight lines. Our host informed us that the seating capacity exceeds the total number of passengers... so no one will miss out on a show.

Ron - The Pics are great! Thanks so much for doing this for all of us. I feel like I'm (almost) back onboard again. Can't wait till our next Regent cruise (and it will be on Navigator next year - unless the "money fairy" accidentally drops a bag of gold on my front porch in the near future and we can also take an earlier cruise! :D). I look forward to your next batch of pics. Regards

This is terrific! is there some way to add this thread to "sticky" threads so that it stays available. And maybe if someone takes a tour of the Voyagr and/or the Mariner, those could be added as well.

Great photo tour computerworks!!!. It would be great if Regent could post detailed photos and youtube videos of its ships. Rather than guests having to do this! Get with it Regent..have you tried to find good video tours of the recent renos of the Mariner , for example??

Sunprince,

Some of what you want is already on the website in the Multimedia section. (See: http://www.rssc.com/experience/multimedia/.)

You've hit a homerun with this thread! Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to get some of us acquainted with the Nav and others (like me) to relive their past sailings!

Any chance you can make it to Yankee stadium tomorrow and post some pics of Jeter's last home game? :D
