Bicycle Rentals in Aruba

We are going to Aruba in August and were thinking about doing the Bicycle Tour Excursion. However since we are in Aruba for over a day and the Island is only so big, we're thinking about renting bikes and seeing the beaches and sites by ourselves. Any thoughts on this idea? Do the Bicycle Rental Shops rent decent Bikes? Do they supply helmets, maps? Que Sheets? How Much?

It's not that we are cheap (Well, yes we are ) we are both Avid Cyclists and think that touring the Island by bike rather than some stuffy rental car would be the way to go.
