I am letting a friend have a referral coupon for her upcoming trip.

The coupons I have have the address of 6100 blue lagoon Drive.

Does anyone have the new correct address, and a name to address it to?

As we are both in the uk will it work if she sends to uk TA or to southampton. does anyone have the current southhampton address?

Has anyone had any problems with this?

Many thanks for any help. :)

We've just returned from a cruise and used a referral coupon only a couple of weeks before we sailed (didn't know about them before!)

We are also in the UK and I was uncertain on whether to send the coupon directly to Seabourn or to our TA, so I rang the TA who said it wasn't a problem as they deal with such coupons all the time (they are a cruise specialist TA) for various lines. I sent it to them and they sent an amended itinery confirming the OBC. It all seemed to work pretty smoothly.

So, I would suggest ringing the TA and if they seem to know what you are talking about let them sort it out. I did keep a copy of the coupon though, but that was just being cautious!

I'm just about to board my Cruise from Istanbul to Athens. When I received my cruise information I noticed that the referal credit had not been applied. I had my TA call Seabourn and they said they had not received it and that it was possible that if it had been sent to the Miami address that they would not have gotten it.

Luckily I had a photocopy of the referral and the TA sent that to Seabourn who then said that they had applied the credit. I'll find out tomorrow...

As I'm finding out, document everything. You never know when you'll need it.

  • 2 years later...

Sorry a little confused about the coupons.

Any help will be much appreciated, thank you.

How do you get a coupon to refer some one else?

And, how does someone else refer me? (Just booked my first cruise with Seabourn and now a friend wants to join us))

Both situations will be applicable for my next cruise.

But where do you get the coupons in the first place please?

Many Thanks for any help

L

Thank you for replying so quickly;

I realize that, but i don't need a coupon from anyone on this site, a friend can refer me, and I can refer my other friend that is coming on this cruise with me , but I don't understand how to do that or where I get the coupon from.

thanks

L

As I understand it, you can't refer a friend on your first cruise. You can only obtain the coupons AFTER you've taken your first SB cruise. The point of referral is that you're recommending someone to take a SB cruise. In theory you cannot recommend a cruise until you've tried it yourself. The details of where to obtain the coupon are in the thread that patnlcc mentioned.

Hi,

I called Seabourn directly and they told me I could refer someone as I have my ID number.

The details in the thread you mention has 2000 posts! And what I have read so far does not pertain to my situation.

Thanks

L

I think you were given incorrect information As Nigella noted you cannot refer someone until AFTER your first cruise. But don't worry --- you can both get a referral from one of the past CC Seabourn cruisers who have posted on the Referral thread.

We'll thank you. I know that I have gleaned valuable cruise info from my fellow CCers so it only seems right to pass on any info I have that might be helpful.Perhaps instead of Cruise Critic( a word IMHO some take too literally) the board might be called Cruise Aid or Cruise Helper. Cheers!
