US Customs clearance

We are thinking of booking Regatta from Montreal to Miami October '15. We are Canadian citizens. Boat makes stops at 5 different US ports. Will we have to clear US customs at each port (very time consuming) or will the boat be pre-cleared? Any info appreciated.

You'll be precleared in Montreal by USCBP . When you get off in Miami you'll have to clear USCBP with your declaration form.
