Getting from Genova to Santa Margherita is best done by train . Trains depart Genova Piazza Principe station at frequent intervals for Santa Margherita.
It is a 45 minute trip and frequency is every 30 - 40 minutes. Be careful there are several stations in Genova.You can catch the train to Santa Margherita from the following stations : Genova Piazza Principe , Genova Brignole Genova Sturla Genova Quarto dei Mille Genova Quinto al Mar Genova Nervi

The closest train station to the port is Genova Piazza Principe, located at Piazza Acquaverde less than a half mile walk from the cruise terminal.
