Freeport- what to do?

what is there to do at the port? Also any close free beaches?

Couple of shops and bars at the port. Best to take a shared taxi ($10/person) to Port Lucaya where there is a casino, lots of shopping, plenty of restaurants and the beach.

There are many small shops along with food vendors and two nice bars/restaurants at the port. There is a gazebo in the midst of this area with musical entertainment from time to time. I am not aware of any nearby beach. Taxis aplenty are available as well.

It has been several years since I visited Freeport and the port area has been nicely developed since my last visit.
