Allegiant Air to start flights from New Orleans to Orlando, Indianapolis, other cities

Las Vegas-based airliner Allegiant will move into New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport next year, starting seasonal direct flights to Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Columbus, Ohio and year-round flights to Orlando, the company announced Tuesday.

For those who are thinking about going on a cruise out of New Orleans, it appears that Allegiant will start having new flights to and from New Orleans.

And, the usual caveats about Allegiant remain. No interline agreements and limited service on many routes. If you have a problem, you may wait for the next available seat only on Allegiant - which may be several days later.
