Cabs from Walled City TO Fort ??

Hi ,

We will be in Cartagena on 1/19/11. We plan on taking a cab from outside the gates of the port and go to the Walled city for 2 or 3 hours. Then take a cab to the Fort or back to the port. I would assume that there are lots of cabs waiting to take us "places" ?? Is there a "cab place" to catch these cabs. Where "abouts" (Pennsylavnia word) is the fort in relation to the Walled City and the port ? Thanks you so much.

I think some of your questions are answered here:

I am planning to do this is the reverse order: fort first, walled city second. The reason is to visit the fort before the worst heat of the day. In the walled city, one can duck into air-conditioned shops to get a respite from the heat. There is no way to get away from the heat at the fort.

Thanks, Your idea of the fort first (heat) seems like a "more gooder":p idea than my plans.

At this time the fort and the Waled City is, I think, all we want to do. We were in Cartagena in '09 for a tour of the city with Lee Miles so I don't think we need to do that again.

OK off to read your suggested post.
