Ensenada-folklore show

we are taking the Zaandam Hawaii cruise and last night is Ensenada port call 8-11 pm..... I am thinking of signing up for the 2 hour excursion at 8:30 pm. which includes the folklore show....Anyone have any comments if this is worth it? A good show? worthwhile to see ?

We did it in 2010 and enjoyed it. The dancers were very good IMO and they danced their hearts out for us. There was an older gentleman who put on an amazing lariat show -- if you get a chance to see him, you're in for a treat. He had to be in his 70's but had the energy of someone half his age. :eek:

I took this excursion years ago and it was well worth doing. Though I have no idea how much changing has concured in those years, I would do it again.

I would do it again too.

I think you will enjoy it. And there isn't much else to do anyway, other than browse through the local crafts that are set up nearby (which we did also).

They also had small cups of margaritas for us before the show. :D

Heh, heh, at one time the only "folklore" show in Ensenada was to get a Papas y Beer bumper sticker at Hussongs. :cool: But mariachi is a wonderful Mexican music tradition (melding of European instruments and latin rhythms) and a very worthy experience.

thanks, we have been to Mexican shows many many years ago when we took land vacations in Mexico......but it has been a long time....
