Pearl refurb?

Was Pearl refurbished in 2011? If so, to what extent?

She's not that old...

The only thing that has changed was the elmination of the Tapas restaruant and the addition of the Modenaro in its place.

As of Feb 2012 there still was no Moderno....we were disappointed.

It was there a few weeks ago when we sailed on her.:)

I believe that the Pearl is due for a refurbishment next year just before going to Alaska.

Yes the captain said something about 500 some days until the drydock.

I see there are no sailings on the Pearl for 1/17 or 1/20/2013. Does anyone know what's going on then? Private charter, maybe? Or an unannounced dry-dock maybe?

I believe that is a charter

The two cruises which have been cancelled are the 7th and 14th April 2013. There is a 7 day from Miami on the 31st March and then it doesn't leave for the Panama Canal run until 21st April.

I don't think there has been any official confirmation that it is dry dock, but someone who posted on here that their cruise had been cancelled stated that it was for dry dock. I don't know whether they had assumed that or we're told by NCL.

A couple of Pearl reviews have also mentioned that it is being drydocked in early 2013, but again I don't know whether they have heard that from NCL (crew maybe).

The timing would make sense, just before the repositioning. I certainly hope they are doing some work on it then, as I'm booked for next Summer.
