Question Alaska on Radiance OTS August 2014

Late last night after arriving in Adelaide from Hobart, and finally getting the internet to work, I went on RCCL to look for Alaska 2014. Yeah!!

I have two questions, I booked Radiance aft corner 1600 for Alaska, August 2014. Anyone familiar with this cabin? I was really debating between a hump and this aft. DH was already snoozing away, so no help at all.

So I come to the collective wisdom of Cruise Critic. Is this a good choice or not so good. Help please!

I have had that cabin on the Serenade.

It is a bit oddly shaped, and you lose some of the space because of it.

However, if you are only two, there is still plenty of room.

We had it in Alaska, too, and the big, wrap-around aft balcony is AMAZING for viewing the Alaskan sights.

1600 on Radiance is a sensational cabin. You will love it. It is huge and has a great balcony. It is the most sort after cabin in that category. You are lucky and will love it.

And what a brilliant ship to do Alaska on. I loved this trip!

Here is a picture of the aft cabins on Radiance.

Just be advised that this GS only has one slider to allow light in, so the interior of the cabin is much darker than other GS cabins that are located on the starboard or port side as they have the full wall of windows.

Some of the drawers have false fronts or are nailed shut. As Carol said, it's a much different configuration from other GS cabins, and IMHO, the cabin is slightly smaller as you don't have the sleeping area separated from the living area.
