Taxi to Old Ironsides?

Does anyone know what a taxi would cost from the cruise pier to USS Constitution? Is there anything else of interest near the ship? Been to Boston several times and only saw the ship from afar. Please don't tell me about Uber. We don't have that app.

What day of the week and about what time?

$20-30 depending on traffic. Carole can probably give a more precise number. In the area of the Navy Yard (besides those things in the Yard itself, like the other ships), there is the Bunker Hill monument and museum. Stay for lunch at the Warren Tavern, the oldest tavern in Massachusetts. Great food.

There is also a pretty cool water taxi that is walking distance from Black Falcon Pier (cruise terminal). It goes from the Institute of Contemporary Art to Long Wharf with a transfer to the Navy Yard where Old Ironsides is. Not only do you get to see Boston from the waterfront (beautiful!), but Long Wharf is quite close to many interesting tourist destinations including Quincy Market, the North End and Freedom Trail. It might be about the same as a taxi, but a more enriching experience for sure. Google "Boston water taxi" for details, fares and maps.

Another vote for the water taxi. It has been a few years, but we took the shuttle from the port to the Market and then walked to meet the water taxi. From there we walked back, exploring the city and eventually took the shuttle back to the port.
