It can be used on just about anything (i.e. spa and bingo would be a yes). As for the casino, you need cash to play in the casino. There is a 3% fee to take out cash against your on board account, so while you could use the money there, you are better bringing cash for the casino to avoid losing 3% off the top.

I think it can be used on anything except for your tips. We had an onboard credit on our last cruise and they just deducted it from the amount we charged on board. We departed on a Sunday but it doesn't actually show up until Monday night.

It can be used for tips also.

I beleive it can be used for ANY charges against your seapass account. Other are correct - there will be an additional 3% fee if you use if for cash from the casino.

this really doesn't answer your question but may be helpful. If you don't use all your obc it will be credited back to your credit card.

It can be credited back...IF it's "refundable"! Some OBC's are NOT refundable, and they will use the refundable obc first...

Any OBC you have will be a credit against your account....spend it anyway you choose.

We are using the same credit card to pay for all charges. Assuming we want to use the entire credit, do we each have to charge $160 on our own sea pass, or can one of us charge the entire $320? Also, is on board credit as a result of a price reduction refundable if the entire amouont isn't used?

Price reductions are refundable and it is per person.

When you do your set sail pass on-line, you will see how you can put charges of numerous pax under one credit card.

At check in request that all OBC be put under the Sea pass card that is associated with that credit card, this way you will only have one final statement.

If you are using the same credit card it doesn't show up as an OBC per person... it will show up as a credit to the primary person... the one who booked the cabin. For example: we were on the Liberty of the Seas last month, I booked the cabin, but we did most of the charging on Hubby's sea pass. Both of our sea passes were linked to the same credit card. Each of his charges were credited off his sea pass and added onto mine. My seapass showed the OBC. At least this is how it looked when I reviewed the charges on the stateroom TV. I never stopped by the guest services desk either. We had no problem using up a $400 credit. Hope that made sense! :D

Our situation is similar to yours. I booked the cruise, but usually most of the charges we make on board go onto my husband's sea pass. I agree that we shouldn't have too much trouble using up our $360 credit on a 9 day cruise, but I may speak to them about it at check in, or sometime during the cruise, just to make sure.

DW and I each had $125 OBC on our cruise last week. She used her Sea Pass for $10 in expenses. I spent $240.34. Our total bill at the end of the cruise was $0.34. The charge account was set up on one credit card. She did not lose any OBC by not spending her portion of it. The one credit card pays for all of the expenses charged to that room. It does not matter who makes the charges.

Thanks again to everyone who answered my question. I'm sure both my husband and I will have no problem using up the credit, but it's good to know that we don't have to keep track of who's spending what.

You can check to see if the OBC can become cash at Guest Services. We did that in October.
