Palamos

We are visiting Palamos on Oceania Riviera in August. I was hoping to have a relaxing day in Palamos instead of doing an excursion. I know many go to Girona for the day.

Has anyone just spent the day exploring in Palamos? Is it worthwhile?

Palamos is a friendly port town on the Costa Brava. You could walk along the seaside promenade, visit the fish market and fish museum and enjoy delicious seafood. It is a very relaxing and easily walkable town with a quaint historical center.
