Question about drink package on Independence of the Sea

Recommended Posts

We will be going on our cruise Sept 27th and have been research a lot - is there any benefit to wait and get drink package on board vs before we cruise - anybody who has been on Independence - did you see any discount prices or sale prices for the drink package on the ship compare to before we cruise .

Any help would be appreciated --

Also on formal nights is it worth going to speciality restaurants vs saving that for one of the regular nights?

There have been no reports of drink packages being discounted on board. Waiting until you board you do have the option to buy the package for fewer days...with a four day minimum and running through the end of your cruise.

We always go to specialty dining on nights we don't care of the MDR menu. The formal night menus are two of our favorites so we always eat in the MDR on formal nights. First formal night is filet and second is lobster. The formal night dress is not a big deal anymore on Royal (suits and dresses not required) and your fine in nice resort casual attire these nights.
