With so many different countries on the itinerary and not all using the euro, I was wondering what the best way would be with regard to aquiring money for those other countries? Take some with us or change currency onboard?

For the small amounts we needed on a four destination, four currency trip we just used cash points and withdrew about £50.
This was enough for metro tickets, snacks, drinks for a day and there's plenty of opportunities to spend what may be left on a momento of the visit. |

I always change currency on board. Then if you don't use it, you can change it back. The exchange rate isn't as good as it might be, but on small amounts that's not material.
