Case Of Water At Baltimore Port

Anyone have a recent experience of checking a case of water in with the porter in Baltimore and having it show up in your cabin?

Not sure since I don't do it, but believe Baltimore is one of the ports where they insist you carry it on yourself.

We went on the Grandeur this past Christmas/New Year's. Carried on plenty of water and 2 bottles of wine. I would take them with with you through security and carry on the ship (use rolling luggage). Security shaked the water and inspected the bottles of wine to make sure they were sealed, but that's all... said have a nice cruise!

Don't stress about it... it's only water.

I have cruised out of Baltimore three times. Each time the porters taking luggage made a point (politely) that there would be no beverages in checked luggage. This applied to both Carnival and RCI cruises.

Yep--need to carry it on. They will shake each of the bottles. :rolleyes:

Yes, you have to carry it on...up all of those ramps! Definitely use a carry on with wheels!
