Port Canaveral Excursions

Our cruise stops at Port Canaveral for 7 hours this August. The cruise ship offerings appear to be slim for excursions. We would be happy just to find a beach and sit and relax if there is one close by. Any advice would be appreciated. In the alternative, if there is an outside company we can use to set up an excursion, that would also be great. Much thanx.

Fortunately there's a lot to do within reasonable distance of the Port.

If you are OK with the Florida heat in August then you have several beaches to choose from. You can rent an umbrella and chairs at the beaches. Uber is available as well as local buses, etc.

You can very easily catch a cab down the road a few miles to Cocoa Beach. Plenty of beach access and great places to eat. Aside from that, renting a car and heading to KSC is a good time as well.
