jetmet Posted January 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2013 So, I hear that you can draw cash from your onboard account set up on a credit card... Does anyone know if you win, do they make you pay off what you withdrew before getting cash for your chips? Or do they just give you cash for your chips and leave the charge on your account? cb at sea Posted January 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2013 I believe they will give you cash....slots don't take chips! There is a 3% fee for accessing cash from your account, but it will be listed on your credit card as a charge...not a "cash advance". It's really best to just bring the cash you're willing to lose, so you don't start off 3% in the hole!!!

Onboard accounts set up with a CC allow for advances for $2,000 a day. There is a 3% charge unless you are in their player program. Onboard accounts set up with cash allow for $100 advances per day. There is no 3% charge. If you win you are paid out in cash with all charges settled at the close of the cruise.
cruzingthebriny Posted January 17, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2013 I just did a cruise on Princess Sapphire. Their slot machines had a feature on them that allowed you to get cash to play as in credits and charge it to you shipboard account with no fees. Your room key (card) worked as your player card. You could cash out at any time, or leave it in (your casino bank) and access your account on any machine with your password. It was handy, but I went a little overboard. Don't think I'll use that feature anymore! Their casinos were open 24/7 during sea days. Their staff would leave around midnight.
