Casino Winnings -- what did you spend it on?

I, of course, did not win anything, but my DD ended up with $80 in total winnings on her first cruise as an adult. She used part of it for prom. She's probably going to be the only one at her senior high prom tonight who paid for her prom ticket with money she won legally in a casino!

We won over $600 after just putting about $5 in a machine. This was just prior to dinner so we used a portion to buy a bottle of Caymus (a favorite) at dinner. When the evening photographer came around, he posed us for the dining room photo and asked us to move the wine bottle. We decided to keep the wine bottle in the photo as a reminder of a lucky night!

Good luck to all!

Probably didn't have a choice after blowing more money then the cruise cost at the casino!!:D

I got lucky in the first 5 minutes so I didn't go back. She enjoys shopping and I like the free drinks in the jewerly stores. :)

I'm somewhat amazed there are people who win! I've never been in the onboard casinos though. I've lived in Northern CA for 40 years and I've never been to Reno or Lake Tahoe, or even Las Vegas; guess you could say I'm not a gambler.

My OH never gambles, but on a cruise ship he has to try EVERYTHING!-so, the first night he won £50 at Bingo, then he won another £50+ at poker.

There was a beautiful picture of our ship, the Ventura, on canvas in the photography area, and he bought it for me as a souvenir- it was reduced from £100 to £58.

The only problem was that we self-disembark, and I had to lug a 4 foot long picture off, along with wheelie luggage...awkward, but we managed! The bright Caribbean turquoises look wonderful on my wall.

On our first cruise DH won enough money to pay for the cruise, buy me a nice ring and take some home. This was the only time we won on a cruise but not for the lack of trying;)

Last month my DD won $400 playing bingo (well technically since she's 13 it was me who won). It was the balloon bingo game where when you win you have to go up on the stage and pick a balloon and you win however much money is inside. We're going on the Glory next month and she can't wait to play bingo again!

I won a $1500 jackpot on the Celebrity Milleninum and paid cash for a Movado watch in St Thomas. :DI always wanted one but never wanted to pay that much for a watch. ( watch $350)
