We will be coming into Sopers Hole on Windsurf - 8am - 6pm in December.

Would love to hear from anyone who has done so, visited beaches & possible tours.

Thanks

That is a nice long stop in Tortola. You have several excellent options and the best choice for you depends on your interests. However some of the choices are much less attractive if you are in port with other ships docked in Road Town. If you are there on Dec 12 you are the only ship and you have run of the islands. If however you are there on Dec 26 that’s another story and you will want to avoid Cane Garden Bay and the Baths on Virgin Gorda.

Ideas -

You can ferry from the West End to Jost Van Dyke if you want to spend a good part of your day just limin’ on the beach and enjoying the beach bars along White Bay;

You can take Kuralu out of Soper’s Hole for a snorkeling daysail, great outfit and a very nice day;

You can rent a car and see Tortola, gorgeous island to sightsee and also gorgeous beaches; You can also take a tour from one of the drivers at the port, very reasonably priced (~$25pp) and a great way to see Tortola. Many include a beach stop.

You can taxi to Road Town and ferry to Virgin Gorda and visit the Baths (if not a big ship day).

If interested in a nice beach followed by lunch and shopping you could just taxi to Long Bay (West End), Cane Garden Bay, or Brewers Bay, all of which are situated along the north shore, have lunch there or taxi over to Road Town for an English-style lunch at Pusser’s Pub and hit their unique clothing shop. Then stop at nearby Sunny Caribbee for great spices and rubs.

Anything sound interesting?

Nice day that! If you just taxi to Brewers, then to RT and back to Soper's the taxi fare is about $35 - $45pp total. So unless you want a private taxi, check with the drivers at the dock to see if you can take advantage of a tour that offers all that.
