Default Dining together

We are sailing on the Conquest on 1/27/13. We have a total of 23 members of my family all sailing, but we are not booked as a group since we all booked on our own. I'm planning on calling Carnival on Monday to see if there is any way we can all be seated together/nearby in the MDR. Anyone have any experience with this or know exactly what I should ask for?

We have 19 in our group going 1/19/2012. We all booked through PVP's but not all together. Called my PVP gave him the booking numbers and had all the reservations linked for our dining time. We will all be seated together.

When you call Carnival Monday you should have the reservation numbers for the other guests and ask them to tie everyone together and then make the request to seat everyone in the same vicinity. If memory serves the biggest table is for 10?

When you board I would check the tables and make sure they're together...if not, then go back when the MD is there and he should be able to arrange it. Good luck and have a great cruise!

We had the same situation on our cruise this past March. All we had to do was email the maitre'd of the cruise ship, provide the booking #'s involved, and asked for the same dining room and time. I did this a couple weeks before our cruise and had no problems.

Perhaps someone on here can correct me if I am wrong but I believe the email address is the first two letters of the ships name, followed by maitred at carnival dot com.

Correct, the biggest table that I have seen is a 10 seater.
Also note that Carnival may wish to phone each of those other reservations to confirm they want to be "grouped" with you. They (Carnival) phoned me for a recent cruise to confirm when I had given my reservation number to a group of friends and the lady organizing that group had phoned them to link my booking so that I could join their dinner table.
So just tell your people that if they get a call out of the blue from Carnival about them being "grouped" that this will be in respect of sitting together for dinner.
You may find that you have 2 tables of 10, and the remaining 3 get to share a table with other guests. Just depends on space in the dining room.

And I would not leave this to the Maitre D'. I would have Carnival link those bookings NOW. Because if the Maitre D' slips up, and the S&S cards are all printed up with different diningrooms and different time slots then you will have a headache to fix once onboard. He will likely just shrug his shoulders at that point. At least if it was all linked beforehand by head-office then the computer will likely have grouped you all to the same diningroom and time slot.

Yes, as others said you need to get your reservations linked. We are cruising on 2/3 with a bunch of family members that are part of a larger group (about 30). We chose to do ATD and not link ours
