Trasfer options from Orlando to Port Canaveral

We have 4 adults and 4 kids going on the Liberty soon. We're staying at a hotel over night and were wondering what the cheapest option for transfer to the port is?

TIA

I'd look into renting a mini-van. We got one from Enterprise for about $50 back in January, one-way between Orlando Airport and Port Canaveral. Free shuttle got us between Enterprise and the port. Loved the flexibility of being able to stop and get a few things we forgot as well as being on our own time schedule.

Cortrans Shuttle Service. We just used them two weekends ago to get to the liberty. Picked us up from our hotel, took us right to the port and then back to the airport when we got home. $40/pp round trip. Shuttle bus was clean and well maintained and drivers were very professional. Will definitely use them the next time we are cruising out of Port Canaveral.

You did not state if your hotel is in Orlando or Cocoa Beach area? That will make difference because the cheaper shared-rides may/may not pick or drop at your hotel.

Currently the cheapest reliable share-ride option from Orlando Airport to the Port is goportcanaveral - $17 per person each way.

Cortrans and a few other good ones are $20 per person. These are shared shuttle vans, meaning they depart at certain times or as soon as the van is full.

Multiply $17 x 8 = $136 PLUS driver tips. At this rate you should also compare private rides or a rental van as suggested because you may find something in the same price range AND the schedule is yours.

.

Cocoa Beach Shuttle, 888-transportation, Cortrans (not sure if they do private transfers) are private van options to start with.

The rental van is great idea and hopefully you can get a good deal on your travel day!

You cannot squeeze 4 adults plus 4 kids plus bags into one rental mini-van (especially if anyone packs like my wife :( ). I would look at splitting up into two standard rental cars (often cheaper than renting one van). All of the rental agencies in PC/Cocoa Beach offer free shuttles to the port. Drop the passengers/kids/bags and then just the drivers return the cars and ride the shuttle. Have a great cruise! :)

Was looking at Cortrans too but was thinking they would only pick up day of cruise from the AIRPORT. But you are saying they too will pick you up at hotel near airport in Orlando and take to port? That would be great and could take hotel shuttle night before and they would pick up in morning?

I can second this. We used them from the Sheraton Airport Suites (they pick up here) to the port for our Oasis cruise. And then to the airport from the ship. Very good company to deal with. Prompt clean and great drivers. We loved the Sheraton...large 2 room suites free shuttle from airport and free shuttle to about 30 restaurants.

Krisco, yes, they will pick-up at hotels in and around the Orlando airport. We flew in the night before our cruise and took the hotel shuttle to the Doubletree Orlando Airport. (Highly recommend the hotel. We got in about 9:30pm and had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was delicious.). The next morning, Cortans picked us up at the hotel and Off we went to the port. About a 50 minute ride once all the stops were done.

Thanks for all the info. Had not gone to their website yet to see this. Found a one way rental car for $49 so may do that and stay in Cocoa Beach. Have done the car rental before and easy drop off and shuttle from there to the port. Thanks all for great information
