How much shade in HMC???

Hello! I am contemplating renting a cabana in HMC if there is not much shade available elsewhere. Does anyone know if shady spots are hard to come by, or if those "clam shell" covers are available to rent for the beach chairs? Thanks!!:D

There is some shade between each of the cabanas, particularly north, or past the Pirate bar, and recently hammocks have been installed in those spaces. It is not full shade, more like partial shade. The cabanas are best for shade, with the clam shells being a distant second. I think would actually seek the area between the cabanas first for shade, after the cabanas.

There are some palm trees providing shade as you walk near the cabanas.

As for clam shells, they can get very hot as the sun beats on the canvas. I'd rather find a palm tree before I'd use a clamshell.

Trees abound....for free! You can move the loungers anywhere you want.....!
