With the current sale at $1,100 per person round trip from LAX some may want to consider booking their air independently and taking the credit from PG. PG usually will give back abetween $1,500 and $1650 per person if you don't take their air (their air does include transport to/from the airport as well as a day room after the cruise). The potential savings of about $1,000 per couple, IMHO, make it quite logical to book independently. I think you have to purchase pretty soon and the sale is only valid for a few months.

I know in the past I cancelled the PG air about 2 months before the cruise and it was not an issue.

This is a great sale as usually they limit the time in FP.

Be sure you can get the dates you want for your cruise before cancelling with PG. I've tried without success to do this. Besides, you get the day room going in and the day room going out plus the tour plus longer time on the ship. You will have to arrange your own transport to and from the airport.
