Gem Casino

Just off a nine day cruise on the Gem. The casino and it's staff was wonderful! Chris (casino manager) greeted my DH within seconds of walking into the casino. Alexandra (executive hostess) was so wonderful and professional. DH had purchased a slot tournament for the Gem, but it was applied to our upcoming two night CTN (which doesn't even have a tournament) without us knowing. Alexandra called and worked everything out..although we didn't win the tournament . The casino hostess Pearl was also great with booking our dinner for us.

The casino was not very smokey or busy. We had a great time there playing and talking with the casino and bar staff there.

I do too. We were just on the Gem in November. Had a great time. Great sailing out of NYC. Guess we'll do it again. LOL.

Does anyone know the minimum bets at the tables-especially roulette? I am going on the Gem in June. I have been on two cruises (same cruiseline) in the last 6 months. One had a $5 min. bet. The other had $10 minimum bet. Just curious.

How's the drink service in the casino? Any good suggestions for the basic drink card. It seems like I always end up with paying $3-$6 for each drink with the card.

I'm not a drinker but I did think the service was excellent in the casino from what I could observe.

Can you order frozen drinks or mudslides? I don't really drink.

I have only ordered coffee and soda but I might drink a fun drink next cruise.

I don't see why not. There's a full bar there.

Yes you can....the pina coladas are great
